Lady Broncos Suffer Tough Loss in CUNYAC Semis

The Bronx Community College Lady Broncos faced off against the Borough of Manhattan CC Lady Panthers in the Women’s CUNYAC Championship Semifinal game.

The game started off rough for the Lady Broncos as they found themselves behind early. As the first half wore on however, the lady broncos fought their way back with tough play and solid offensive production. That wasn’t enough as BMCC took an 11 point run into half-time and the Lady Broncos found themselves on the wrong side of a 43-15 halftime score.

The second half started with much of the same continuing. The Lady Broncos never gave up as they looked to fight back into the game with a 10-3 second half run. It wasn’t long after, that BMCC found their stride, and hit back going on a 19-2 run. As the final buzzer sounded, the Lady Broncos fell to a final score of 74-32.

The leading scorer for the Lady Broncos was # 3 Anismery Blanco who led the team with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
