Marian took an early lead in the top of the 2ndwhen Hickey hit a single then scored Taylor. They added more runs when Koscielniak was hit home by a double from Klinger who was then hit home off a single by Robson. Boylan was held scoreless in that inning making the score at the end of the 2nd making the score Marian 2 Boylan 0. There was no other blood until the bottom of the 5th when Boylan went on a rally scoring 5 runs making the score Boylan 5 Marian 3, with the inning consisting of 2 double and 2 singles. Boylan had another good inning in the 6th scoring 3 runs making the score 8-3. The streak in the 6th was started by Danny Appino who had a single that brought home Michael Lundeen and next to bat was Zach Stoner hitting a double brining home Joe Kubera and Danny Appino. Marian had one last chance to catch up but failed only scoring 1 run in the top of the 7th making the final score Boylan 8 Marian 4. Star players for the game were Zach Stoner hitting doubles in the 1st, 5th, and 6th innings; 3-3 at the plate, and 4 RBI'S. Both Joe Kubera and Danny Appino went 2-3 at the plate, both had 2 runs, and Appino had 1 RBI. Winning pitcher of the game was Ben Eckburg who had 93 pitches, 55 being strikes; 4 groundouts, and 6 flyouts. Other pitchers for that game were Danny Appino having 8 pitches, 4 stikes, and 1 groundout; and Ben Grygiel having 9 pitches and 2 strikes.
