Bobcats survive Duschene 9-5 thanks to Alex Roy's late-game heroics

Alex Roy brought home the go-ahead run to give Bowling Green Bobcats Varsity the lead in the sixth inning, as Bowling Green Bobcats Varsity hung on to beat Duschene 9-5 on Tuesday.

David Goddard walked to get on base in the sixth. He then went from first to second on a groundout by Andrew Martinson.

 

Corey Brown went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for Bowling Green Bobcats Varsity. He singled in the second, fourth, and fifth innings.

 

Darren Feldewerth got the win for Bowling Green Bobcats Varsity. He allowed three runs over 4 1/3 innings. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered five hits.

Bowling Green Bobcats Varsity closer Jorden Billings put away the final eight outs to record the save.

Bowling Green Bobcats Varsity jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first.

Bowling Green Bobcats Varsity brought home one run in the second inning, and matched that run total in the third. In the second, Bowling Green Bobcats Varsity scored on an RBI single by Corey, bringing home Jorden.

Bowling Green Bobcats Varsity answered Duschene's top inning with three runs of its own in the fourth. Bowling Green Bobcats Varsity scored on a two-run single by Darren.

Duschene scored two runs in the fifth inning, and then followed it up with two more in the sixth. In the fifth, Duschene scored on an RBI single by #3, plating#5.
