Bowling Green Bobcats Varsity drops 13-7 game to Warrenton

Despite a big day at the dish from Alex Roy, who finished 2-3, Bowling Green Bobcats Varsity lost 13-7 to Warrenton Christian on Monday.

Three of Bowling Green Bobcats Varsity's runs were scored thanks to timely hitting by Alex. He doubled in the first and sixth innings.

#5 got the win for Warrenton Christian despite allowing five runs over six innings. He struck out eight, walked five and surrendered five hits.

Warrenton Christian's #1#21#13 and #24 combined for eight hits and seven RBIs.

Darren Feldewerth was charged with the loss. He allowed seven runs in three innings, walked five and struck out none.

The top of the first saw Bowling Green Bobcats Varsity take an early lead, 2-0.David Goddard singled to ignite Bowling Green Bobcats Varsity's offense. A groundout by Cory Buchanan then moved David from first to second. Alex doubled, bringing home David. Bowling Green Bobcats Varsity pushed more runs across when Roy scored on an RBI single by Darren.

Warrenton Christian answered Bowling Green Bobcats Varsity's top inning with three runs of its own in the first. Warrenton Christian scored on a groundout by#17, an RBI single by #27, and an error.

Warrenton Christian stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the second, scoring four runs on a three-run double by #24 and an error.

Warrenton Christian brought home three runs in the fifth inning, and matched that run total in the sixth. In the fifth, Warrenton Christian scored on an RBI single by #21, scoring #6.

Three runs in the top of the sixth helped Bowling Green Bobcats Varsity close its deficit to 10-7. An RBI single by Cory and a two-run double by Alex triggered Bowling Green Bobcats Varsity's comeback. Finally, #5 got Jorden Billings to ground out to end the threat.
