McSwain tossed a no-hitter in the second game, also ending early on the run rule, to cap off a Post 26 sweep in action Monday night at Mike Miller Park. Both games lasted just five innings, Mayfield winning 14-0 and 12-0. Post 26 is now 4-3 overall, having won four straight, and plays Metcalfe County at Brooks Stadium on Thursday night. In the nightcap, McSwain recorded 12 of the 15 TC outs by strikeout while allowing one walk. McSwain (1-0) helped himself by going 3-for-4 with a double, while Tucker Starkey was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI. Also for Mayfield, Chris Nance was 2-for-3 with an RBI, Garrett Ballard was 2-for-3, and both Adam Riley and T.K. Kemper had a hit and drove in two runs. Post 26 scored in every inning, including five runs in the fourth, and had 14 hits. A seven-run second inning, highlighted by Austin Adams’ two-run homer, broke open the first game of the night. Larry Brown also homered for Post 26, tagging a two-run shot in the fourth. Brown finished 2-for-3 with a double and four RBI, Starkey was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI, Jordan Dawson was 2-for-4 with an RBI and Riley had a hit and two RBI. Wes Jones (1-0) worked four innings for the pitching win with Adams pitching the final frame.
