Boonville Pirates Face Off Against the Hannibal Pirates in Wrestling

On Thursday, December 11, the Boonville Pirates traveled to Hannibal to face the Hannibal Pirates in a wrestling duel.  As a team, 2A Boonville would take a loss against Class 3A.  It was a hard night to walk away with a victory as an individual.  When senior Kyle Cook was asked about his thoughts on his teammate’s performances, he responded, “Even though we lost, as a team everyone wrestled well.  It was a tough night for us.”  Cook finished the evening with a loss after going into triple over-time with his opponent.   When asked about his thoughts for the rest of the season Cook replied, “I plan to work hard in practice and keep working toward state.”
