Home » Girls' Tennis NewsGirls try so hard, but are defeated in the endOctober 29, 2012 By Lisa Moody of Boonville High SchoolOn Wednesday, September 26, the girls’ tennis team went up against a very good Marshall team. “The individual scores of the matches do not necessarily represent all of the growth and experience we gained against a solid and tough team. The girls individually worked on areas of fundamentals with which they've been struggling and really looked more cohesive and consistent. Many of the games in each match went into long points and to deuce and we just didn't convert that last point. It's always tough to stay focused after playing 4 matches in the last two days, but the girls were clearly ready to work and showed their growth,” said Ms. Green. The loss of 0-12 leaves the Lady Pirate Varsity tennis team with a record of 1-2 in NCMC games and an overall record of 1-4.
