Home » Girls' Volleyball NewsPirate Volleyball wins against Higginsville HuskersSeptember 19, 2012 By Lisa Moody of Boonville High SchoolOn Monday, August 27th, the Lady Pirates Volleyball teams swept the Higginsville Huskers in both Varsity and Junior Varsity. The Varsity team took a strong lead early in the first game, with a lead as big as 18-3 before finishing it off 25-9. The Varsity team also won the second game 25-7. The Junior Varsity team dominated just as well winning the first game 25-17, and the second game 25-15. The Lady Pirates totaled 43 service points, 38 digs, 29 kills, 28 assists, 41 attacks on 45 attempts with 17 aces and nine blocks for the best season opening they could ask for. “We did really well,” said Coach Stone, “but there is always room for improvement.”
