When I first got started with BMX in the late 90s, there was a great site called BMXBasement that used to post pictures and a short bit of coverage from NBL BMX Nationals.  I loved what they did. It was simple and the coverage was posted in the days after the national.  This beat waiting a month or two for the magazine to show up in the mail.  After enjoying the site for a couple years, the owner decided to call it quits. Thus, the idea popped into my head – hey, I can do that. With that, my site was born.

BmxUnderground.com is a website that had very humble beginnings, providing some pictures from local racing at CNY BMX in Bridgewater, NY in the fall of 2004.

 In the fall of 2004, we decided to take our coverage to the national scene, covering the U.S. Open and Thanksgiving National.  Believe it or not in my first weekend of national coverage I managed to break my leg.  So, the pictures came from the stands. But, we were off and running.

Since then BmxUnderground.com has moved on to cover NBL Nationals from throughout the eastern half of the United States.  Our pictures have graced the cover of Transit Video Magazines and the NBL’s former monthly publication BMX Today.

We have started our 2010-2011 season with coverage the same way we started back in 2004 – Thanksgiving Nationals.  Look for big things in 2011.
