Home » Boys' Basketball News22 Point Turn AroundJanuary 28, 2010 By Ronnie Sharp of Brookfield High SchoolThe first half began as many of our games do with us making poor decision leading to too many mistakes and turnovers. Surprisingly though we found ourselves remaining close even with 17 turnovers. As the half ended we had fallen behind more and found ourselves down 13. It would have been easy for us to quit, as in the past and simply believe that South Shelby was better than us, but not this time. Instead, we came out the second half, led by our seniors, and got within five by end of the third. We played at a higher level that we feel we are capable of, but not ever truly showing thus far this season. All played physical and aggressive defense and then finished it by pulling in defensive boards. Late in the fourth, we finally took the lead, continued to make free throws and found ourselves up by nine at the end, 70-61. This was a great home game and ending for us to play and the crowd to see.
