Jacket Girls B-ball swats Hornets

THURSDAY NIGHT SPORTS: Cambridge-Isanti held a nine-point lead at the half then kept rolling in the second half to record an 81-59 victory over visiting Big Lake Feb. 16. Whitney Olson sunk 8-of-17 three-point attempts to score 26 for the Bluejackets. Also coming through for C-I were Brynn Liljander (21 pts, 8 rebounds, 6 assists), Amanda Hanson (14 pts, 2 assists) and Emily Holboy (5 pts, 10 rebounds).

The Bluejackets get a grudge rematch at Anoka for a 1:30 p.m. matinee game on Saturday; the Tornadoes topped C-I in last year’s Section 7AAAA championship game.
