King of the Week: October 22, 2011

Each week we go through the contests played in Northeast Colorado and find the best individual performance, either during a single game or an entire week, and name that performance King of the Week, presented by Ertle Brothers Discount Auto.  The announcement airs during the Saturday Morning Sports Show (9am, 104.7 King FM).

This week, Akron won the 1A North Central League crown with a wild 62-34 win over Wiggins.  In that game, one player stood out and was named our King of the Week.  Jourdan Hottinger carried the ball 31 times for 367 yards and 4 TDs (including 94, 64 and 50-yard scoring runs).  He also threw for two more TDs and amassed more than 500 offensive yards.
