Home » Fishing NewsThe Kissimmee Klash Tournament March 24April 9, 2012 Bartow High School Yellow Jackets Fishing ClubThe Yellow Jackets fished Kissimmee on Saturday, March 24, and with one tournament remaining in their first season, the top anglers are fishing hard for the coveted Angler of the Year. Michael Boswell, a senior in his final year of youth fishing, took home top honors and moved within eight pounds of current leader Luke Ferguson. In what promises to be a nail-biter, the final tournament, dubbed the Senior Sting, will be held on the Winter Haven Chain April 14. Results were: Kissimmee Klash Champions: Michael Boswell and Ryan Thomas, 11.95 lbs; Boswell had big fish at 3.15 lbs; Second: Jay Malys and Josh Parker with 3.95 lbs.; Third: Luke Ferguson and Jacob Rogers with 3.7 lbs.; Fourth: Cody Glowner and Shane Hines with 3.3 lbs.; Fifth: CJ Wright and Austin Anderson with 2 lbs. The Jackets want to thank DB Bait & Tackle, McBrooms awards, Bartow Ford, Deep South Fishing Rods, Cedar Trail Landfil, Moody Law and Semco. Special thanks to all Boat Captains.
