2011 Celebration of Athletes

This year the Celebration of Athletes will include an autograph session and photo opportunity with:

UK Football Head Coach Joker Phillips and former UK Basketball, current New York Knicks, player Josh Harrellson

There will also be free T-shirts, free Legends tickets for participants, an opportunity to run onto the field with Legends players, an opportunity to announce the opening of the games, an opportunity to throw out the first pitch at the Legends game, moon bounce, cornhole, give-aways, games and tons of fun! We have also added the Gametruck, the complete video game theater, to the lineup for the first time in BGSG history!

When: Friday, July 15, 2011
Where: Whitaker Bank Park
What: Celebration of Athletes (formerly Opening Ceremonies) combined with Lexington Legends vs. Savannah Sand Gnats baseball game. The night will include the lighting of the cauldron and fireworks extravaganza!

*FREE tickets and food vouchers will be available at the registration tent for the first 2,000 registered participants to attend the Legends vs. Savannah Sand Gnats game. Additional tickets for non-participants will be available by calling the Legends ticket office at 859-422-7857.
