Dear Maine-Letter 6

May 2, 2014
James F Byrnes Freshman Academy

Dear Maine,

So last night I asked my mom for $200 to go shopping, but she only gave me $150. Why is she so mean to me all the time?!?!

Ungrateful in the Upstate

Dear Ungrateful in the Upstate,

Be lucky you even got $150. You are being ungrateful, selfish, and spoiled. You should be happy and grateful for what your mom gives you . . . not just money but everything else as well.

Don’t ask questions about why she doesn’t give you everything you want.  Just take what you receive and make do with it.

Also, if you think she’s mean about giving you $200, then you have issues!

You need to go out and get a job, and you’ll see that money just doesn’t grow on trees.  You need to understand the value of a dollar.
