Duncan’s Byrnes Rebel Baseball Team is looking forward to their 2012 Season.

The baseball team’s record last season was 23-5.

Last season, Byrnes was number one in their region and won Upper-State.

The Byrnes baseball team made it to the state game but lost, so they were named Runner-Up.

The baseball team was predicted as number one in the preseason poll for their region.

Michael Maus, the first year, head baseball coach, said, “We have had to overcome many challenges leading up to this year, such as accepting new roles, and even new coaching.”

The Byrnes baseball team lost four seniors last season, so the head coach, Coach Maus, said, “We lost many leaders, good positions, but we have found many people to fill their shoes.”

“Depending on our attitude, we should have a very productive season,” said Nate Hall, a Byrnes baseball player.

The Byrnes baseball coaching staff says, “Having a good depth in pitchers and having good hitters will play a big role in having a winning season.”

Coach Maus, the head baseball coach, said, “We have many challenges to overcome during the season, for example, being in a tough region, having a tough schedule, and making sure everyone stays safe and healthy.”
