Alumni Appreciation Night Rescheduled to Thursday, Feb. 6 as Women’s and Men’s Basketball Teams Take on Ocean in Paramus

The Athletic Department, the Office of Alumni Affairs and the Office of Student Affairs invite alumni back to campus for Athletic Alumni Appreciation Night next Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014. It’s a great chance for students to meet, and for faculty to reconnect with alumni while watching the Women’s and Men’s basketball teams take on Ocean County College.

The College will recognize two BCC basketball greats:

  • Bobby Gaeta, a 1985 NJCAA All-American whose Division III record for highest individual two-season game average of 34.4 points – with a total of 1,752 points scored as a Bulldog – still stands as a national record.
  • Michaela “Mickey” Hayes, Class of 2011 honors graduate, basketball and softball star, who led the nation as the Number 1 Division III rebounder averaging more than 19 rebounds per game.

A section of seating will be reserved for alumni to sit coaches and members of current sports teams. Enjoy the entertainment of the BCC Dance Team. The Lady Bulldogs’ game starts at 5 p.m. followed by the men at 7 p.m. with halftime presentations to the honored alumni athletes. Alumni and faculty are invited to enjoy light refreshments during the games in the press box overlooking the gym. Admission is free.

Rain Date: Tuesday, Feb. 18, 5 p.m. at men’s game.

Go Bulldogs!
