Sophomore Day Bergen CC versus Passaic CC

Paramus, NJ- Bergen had its sophomore day for their last home match of the season.  The players that were honored were two year starters; Paul Bancroft (Cresskill) who was part of the Bergen team that participated in nationals in 2011, Jorge Raigoza (John F. Kennedy HS), Omar Sanchez (West New York) and Nick Durate (Fort Lee) who both played under both Coach Sal Guillen in 2010 when they received All-Region and All-GSAC honors and Coach Cristian Raigoza in 2012.  At halftime, it was wonderful to be able to honor these four student-athletes with a sign soccer ball by their teammates and coaches.

During the game between visiting Passaic Panthers and Bergen Bulldogs, both teams played well and were tied in the 80th minute.  The Panthers ended up scoring the second goal to win the game in the second half.  Omar Sanchez (West New York) scored the only goal of the match for Bergen.  The Bulldogs look to bounce back on Saturday, October 13 versus Cumberland CC.
