Bergen This Week Versus Brookdale and Westchester

Paramus, NJ - Bergen has had a rough week after winning five in a row.  Bergen has hit a wall as of late with a 11-1 loss at Brookdale C. C. and 13-3 loss at Westchester C. C.. 

Joe Grimaldi started for the Bulldogs at Brookdale and had a good outing going 5 2/3 and allowing 3 earned runs.  The game got away from the Bulldogs late.  The offense for the Bulldogs was led by sophomore Mike Rizzo who went 2-4 with a double and a run scored.  Joey Mazzo also added a double and a run scored.  Bergen's loss to Brookdale gives a record of 10-9 in the region.

Bulldogs the next day drove to Westchester who they beat at home a week ago by the score of 14-9.  Westchester's home cooking was able to split the series 1-1 by beating Bergen 13-3.  Bergen's offense included freshman Dave Schneidebach 2-3 performance.
