"BEHIND THE SCENE WITH KENNY & FRIENDS" Brings "Nashville" To Life On RURAL-TV And FamilyNet In 2013

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 31, 2013)—The producers of “Behind The Scene With Kenny & Friends” (BTS), celebrate a two-fold expansion to reach a larger audience of country music enthusiasts in 2013. BTS-Season 2, the easy- does-it, “from-the-couch to center-stage” country music entertainment talk show, will air on both Rural TV (RFD-TV) and FamilyNet networks before an anticipated audience of over 20 million households on satellite and cable providers.

Airing weekly, “Behind The Scene With Kenny & Friends” is a 30-minute laidback, “front porch” style interview program highlighting up-close and personal discussions with music producers, recording artists, renowned and “up ‘n coming” songwriters along with a variety of special VIP guests that offer viewers an inside look at the entertainment industry.

Host Kenny Dean is a husband, father and grandfather whose ole boy persona and wholesome honesty is as welcoming at first introduction as it is show after show. In addition to being a TV personality on various stations over the course of his 17-year broadcast career, Dean hosted the two-hour live television morning show “The Front Porch” for more than 15 years. Named the North American Country Music Association International (NACMAI) “TV Personality Of The Year” in 2006, Dean has covered political and entertainment sectors—conducting interviews with governors, congressmen, senators and state officials along with the all-time country music greats.

From an inside-out perspective, "BTS with Kenny & Friends" explores and reveals the inner workings of “Nashville” (specifically the “talent behind the talent,” the “story behind the song,” and the “mechanics behind the music machine”) to offer viewers a true-to-life sneak peek into the business like never seen before. From up-and-coming hitmakers to award- winning, trendsetting veteran entertainers, such as Tracy Lawrence, Ronnie Milsap, The Grascals. The Roys, Aaron Tippin and "The Man Of Steel," Robby Turner, the best-of-the-best have made the scene with Kenny Dean!

“We’ve been filming this show for some time now and my trips to and from Nashville are always an educational experience,” said Kenny Dean. “Even though I’ve been in front of the camera for years, the stories from entertainers, musicians, studio crews and road warriors, and how they’ve paved or made their way, continue to be exciting and enlightening. I always want to hear more and I’m hoping the topics continue to invite BTS viewers to come back for more!”
