The River Forest senior forward served as the Ingots' anchor Tuesday night in their Class 2A Bishop Noll Sectional playoff game against Lake Station. Buehler tossed down a game-high 21 points and hauled in a team-best 13 rebounds to lead River Forest past Lake Station, 48-38. "(Lake Station) is our rival, so it is more incentive to beat them," said Buehler, who capped her performance with a steal and a block to close out the game. "We definitely didn't overlook them, because it was a closer game against them earlier in the season, too, so we knew we had to come out and take care of business tonight." With the win Tuesday, River Forest (14-6) advances to face Wheeler in the sectional semifinals Friday night. "It's going to be tough," River Forest coach Courtney Quigg said. "I know we beat (Wheeler) earlier this year, but it wasn't an easy game the first time. They have some incredible players, are well-coached, and we'll need to come out and play a much better game than we did tonight."
