Year: Junior. Background: Finch is a three-sport athlete, also playing volleyball and softball. Wheeler transfer Paige Finch has played basketball since she was 6 years old, and she's grown to love it. "Once I have a basketball in my hand or I step on the court, nothing else matters," Finch said. "It doesn't matter what is going on outside of the court or practice, I just have a chance to feel comfortable and relax." The junior center is second to freshman sister Nickole on the team in scoring, as both average 7.3 and 7.2 points, respectively. Paige Finch is also averaging 6.1 rebounds for the Bearcats (10-8). She's scored in double figures four times this season, and she had a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds against North Judson on Nov. 20. In Saturday's Greater South Shore Conference championship, she had 12 points with eight rebounds and two steals.
