Home » Boys' Soccer NewsPatriots Earn Split at West Ham United Soccer TournamentAugust 25, 2012 By Shane Lightfoot of Bethesda Christian High SchoolThe Bethesda Patriots soccer team lost to University High School 3-1 in their opening match of the West Ham United - International Soccer Shootout held today at the International School of Indiana. The Patriots tied the Trailblazers 1-1 in a regular season match last Tuesday, but lost the rematch this morning. The loss put the Patriots in consolation game this afternoon where they defeated International 3-1 to salvage a split in the tournament. International lost 6-3 to Indianapolis Washington in the first match of the day, which led to their afternoon encounter with the Patriots. The Patriots are now 2-2-1 on the season, having defeated Indianapolis Lutheran 4-1 on Thursday night. The team hits the road for a few games now, starting with Park Tudor on Monday night at 5:00 p.m., when they will take on a strong Panther team. The Patriots next home contest will be on Tuesday, September 18th, when they face Faith Christian at 6:00 p.m. Be sure to support your Patriots all season, both home and away!
