Home » Baseball NewsBCS Night at the BallparkMay 23, 2012 By Shane Lightfoot of Bethesda Christian High SchoolThe Bethesda Lady Patriots softball team will face the Indiana School for the Deaf for the Sectional #58 title on Thursday, May 24th, at 5:00 p.m. at Bethesda's Varsity Softball Field. Recent contests between these two teams have been close and hotly contested and this championship game is expected to be no different. Indiana Deaf defeated the Lady Patriots 6-2 during the regular season, which was the first victory by the Lady Deaf Hoosiers in the series in at least 2 years. A healthy rivalry has been built between the two schools and the table is set for a terrific final game. The Patriots baseball team will also be in action on Thursday in the Sectional #58 semi-finals when they take on the University High School Trailblazers at 5:00 p.m. at the Bethesda Varsity Baseball Field. The two schools played a double-header on May 12th, with the Trailblazers sweeping both games - 4-3 and 10-0. The Patriots are anxious to take the field and are looking for redemption for the one that got away in that first game of the twin bill. The winner of this game will face the winner of tonight's semi-final matchup between Indiana Deaf and Greenwood Christian Academy in Monday's Sectional #58 Championship at 12:00 noon. Tickets are $5 for adults and school-age children. Because Bethesda is playing in both games at the same time, you can purchase your $5 ticket at either venue and have access to both contests by simply showing your ticket at the gate of either field. Come out and support your Patriots and Lady Patriots as they pursue sectional championships!
