Base: Avon comeback nips Plainfield 6-5

April 24, 2011
Avon High School

Plainfield suffered a frustrating loss to neighboring Avon April 21. The Quakers saw a 3-1 first inning lead disappear in a 6-5 loss to the Orioles. The fateful blow was a four run third inning by Avon.

Andrew Eiter picked up the win on the mound for the Orioles, pitching four inning of two hit relief. In all, Plainfield outhit the Orioles 10-6 in the game. The big bat for Plainfield belonged to Kody Dell who was 2 for 4 on the day. Eiter helped his own cause by belting a long ball for Avon.
