Augusta's first game of the new year would be January 3rd at St. Patrick. With the help of a couple dominating quarters the Panthers would run away with this one. They led 19-2 after 1 quarter. St. Patrick would outscore Augusta 19-16 in the 2nd quarter but a 28-9 3rd quarter would put this one away and Augusta would win their 10th game, 73-48. Brent Bach led all scorers with 26 points. David Tucker added a career high 14.

Augusta returned to the friendly confines of the Panthers' Den for the first time in the new year to face the Harrison County Thorobreds. Augusta had just faced the Breds in the Murph Classic last month falling 75-68 so a close game was anticipated. Unfortunately for Augusta, Harrison County had other plans. The visitors jumped on the Panthers early leading 22-12 after 1 quarter. Augusta showed signs of life in the 2nd quarter but still trailed, 42-27 at the break. Harrison County would make it a laugher in the second half outscoring the Panthers, 43-15 en route to an 85-42 victory. The loss dropped Augusta to 10-6. Brent Bach led Augusta with 16 points. Connor Maddox added 15.
