Panthers Secure Another Victory on the Road

On Friday night the Augusta Panthers were in Maysville to face the St. Patrick Saints. The Saints came out primed for an upset jumping out on the Panthers to the tune of a 17-15 lead after 1 quarter. But that excitement would be short lived as Tanner Kelsch went off scoring 17 of the Panthers' 27 2nd quarter points while holding the Saints to only 6. Augusta led 42-23 at the break. The 3rd quarter was much of the same as Augusta kept up the pressure and increased the lead to 64-32 as the teams entered the 4th quarter. St. Patrick would outscore the Panthers 27-11 in the 4th quarter but the game was well in hand as Augusta moved to 6-1 with their 4th straight win. Tanner Kelsch led all scorers with a career high 24 points. Brent Bach added 20 along with 12 from Trenton Barrett and 10 from Connor Maddox.
