A slow start for the Panthers found them in an early hole in the first quarter as Bourbon County jumped out in front 8-2 prompting an early Augusta timeout. It would help the Panthers settle down but they were still behind 16-11 after one. The Colonels would increase their lead to 24-15 and seemed to have everything going their way but then Augusta turned up the defense and started taking over going on a 21-4 run to close out the quarter and lead at the break, 36-28. In the 3rd quarter Brent Bach took over scoring 19 of his game high 41 points. Bourbon County did make a small run early in the 3rd but never really threatened again as Augusta rolled to 3-1 winning 82-60. With his 41 points Brent Bach became the first Panther to score at least 40 points in back to back games in Augusta history and the first Panther to have multiple 40 point games in a season since Chris Linville did it in the 1991-92 season. Tanner Kelsch added 14 points. "I'm proud of the boys tonight, we played good team ball," said Coach Hinson, "Good to have some momentum going into Tuesday night's home opener against Bracken County." Scoring vs. Bourbon County: Bach 41, Kelsch 14, Maddox 9, Snapp 7, Freeman 6, Barrett 2, Crawford 2, Conn 1
