Covenant Christian Drops One To God's Academy
January 24, 2010Atlanta National Invitational Showcase
After starting off its Showcase performance with a win, Covenant Christian was unable to beat God's Academy in the first game of Day 2. God's Academy was able to disrupt what is normally a well disciplined team. In addition to forcing turnovers and shots outside of Covenant's offense, the Ambassadors used KC Ross-Miller's ability to penetrate, and the guard did just that on the way to his 20 points. He was able to get into the middle of the lane and finish or dish the ball off to Titus Rubbles who had no problem finishing either en route to 30 points for God's Academy. The Ambassadors kept Covenant's Travis Betran at bay, holding him to 15 points. Ramon Thomas of Covenant Christian also had 15 points in the 70-58 loss at the hands of God's Academy.
