Thomas Jefferson ended Day 1 of the Showcase with a victory over the Titans of TC Williams. After jumping out early with aggressive defense and fast breaks, Thomas Jefferson was cooled off by a TC Williams team that hung around and actually took the lead for a spell in the second half due to some stingy team defense and a little sharpshooting by #32 Daris Porter, who finished with 16 points. Ryan Yates added 13 points, but it was not enough to get the W against Dave Coley (14 pts) and the New York representative Thomas Jefferson High.
