Atlanta Aliens Are On A Rize 3-0!

Unranked Atlanta Aliens boarded up the Mothership and landed in Camden, South Carolina where they landed and defeated the heavily favored Power Ranked Palmetto State Rizers at the City Arena 122-95. The Aliens took an early lead in the 1st quarter and never looked back. With only eight players, the Aliens showed that they are a well talented team. Six of the Aliens regular players did not make the trip for personal reasons and GM/Head Coach Duck Richards called upon his reserve players to fulfill the vacancies. "As a team, we are only as strong as our bench and this game proved that we have depth down to the reserves," said Richards.

Although three of the usual starting five were absent, the Aliens never skipped a beat. Lead by the "Sniper and his Spotter" leading scorer Michael Sloan and veteran point guard Demetrice Williams, the Aliens began to strike from afar early and often. At the end of first quarter, the Aliens was in control 28-17 and they took a commanding lead into halftime 54-39. In the third quarter, the Rizers scored 30 points to narrow the Aliens lead of 88-69. Yet, the Rizers run were no threat to the Aliens as they went on to win 122-95. By the end of the night, seven Aliens were in double figures with four players scoring 20 or more points. Sloan lead all scorers with 25 points, Steve Cunningham 20, Jay Brown 20, Joshua Jones 20, Demetrice Williams 10, David Lawrence 10 and Joshua Brewster 7.

The Atlanta Aliens will play their next game against Gulf Coast Flash in Gulf Port, Mississippi Saturday December 15, 2012. All Alien Nation fans are welcome to attend.
