Events » The Cup Lands in Shepard Country

Description For the second time in four years the most coveted trophy in all of professional sports - The Stanley Cup - spent a sunny day in the Southwest suburbs. On Wednesday, July 24 - thanks to Chicago Blackhawks Head Trainer Mike Gapski - the hockey fans gathered at Incarnation School in Palos Heights and Caesar Park in Crestwood to celebrate the Blackhawks' championship earned in the 2013 Final playoff series versus the Boston Bruins in June. On hand to entertain was the Shepard Marching Band, which took a quick break from its annual Summer band camp to travel down the road to one of the Astro communities.
