Huskies Soccer stays in hunt for MVAC Title

Ashe County continues to keep pace with Wilkes Central for the conference championship after knocking off West Wilkes on Monday, 3-1,Ashe got goals from Honor Rognstad, Tyler Keagy, and Anthony Federico to secure the victory against a persistent West Wilkes team who was trying hard for a big upset victory.

The Huskies will travel to Alleghany on Tuesday, and have a rematch against Wilkes Central next Thursday at home with conference championship implications on the line. Earlier in the season, the Eagles beat the Huskies 5-1 after scoring four goals in the second half to get the victory. Wilkes Central had yet to lose a conference match this season.
