Ashe Tennis Win Matches Over Oak Hill

The men's tennis team earned two victories earlier in the week against Oak Hill Academy, wrapping up the final two non-conference games on the schedule.
On Monday, the tennis team made it look easy, defeating the Warriors 9-0.
Top seed Zach Richardson defeated Seung Lee in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1 while his brother Zeb Richardson also earned the victory in straight sets, defeating Slade Davenport 6-1, 6-3.
In the match between third-seeded Jacob Hamilton and Charlie Morgan, Hamilton came out on top, taking the win 6-3, 6-1 while fourth-seeded Will Church earned a tough 6-3, 6-4 win. Lucas Zellar and Wesley Moore made quick work of their opponents as Zellar defeated Yu Jeong Yang 6-0, 6-0 and Moore finished off Won Jun Jung 6-0, 6-1.
In doubles action, Zach and Zeb Richardson defeated Lee and Davenport 8-3. Hamilton and Church downed Morgan and August Kern 8-1 and Zellar and Moore finished off the match sweep for Ashe with an 8-1 win over Jung and Yang.
On Tuesday, the teams met again, this time Oak Hill earned one victory for the team, but Ashe still came on top by an 8-1 final score.
The Huskies will start preparing for the Mountain Valley Conference Tournament which will be held at Elkin on April 25 and 26.
