Chrissy Simmons got the scoring off early with a goal against the Lady Trojans. MacKenzie Domske then scored two straight goals to give Ashe a 3-0 lead that would never be threatened. Aspen Domske added two goals herself while her sister McKenzie finished off the hat trick to give the Lady Huskies its third conference victory. Earlier in the year, Ashe knocked off Starmount 2-0 and East Wilkes 5-2. On Friday, Ashe suffered its first Mountain Valley 1A/2A Conference loss of the season to a strong Elkin team. The Lady Elks scored three goals in the first half and two more in the second half to earn a 5-0 win over Ashe. The Lady Huskies were without two key players as both Mallary Clay and Aspen Domske missed the game. Mary Tayloe scored three goals for Elkin, pushing its record to 4-2 overall and 3-1 in MVAC play. Ashe now sits at 3-2 overall and 3-1 in MVAC play.
