ACHS Athletes of the Year Announced

Female Athlete of the Year - Kim M

Kim is a 4 year letterman in volleyball and basketball. She is a 2 year letterman in softball. She is a 3 time all-conference selection in volleyball. She is a 4 time all-conference selection in basketball. In her senior season, she was named the Mountain-Valley 2A Conference Player of the Year and was named as the conference tournament's MVP. She is the first player to be named to the Winston-Salem Journal's All-Northwest team two times. Kim is the first female to score over 1,000 career points. She is the all-time leader in points, steals and rebounds for ACHS girls basketball.



Male Athlete of the Year- Daniel W

Daniel is a 3 year letterman in football and basketball. He is a 1 year letterman in baseball. He is a 2 year all-conference selection in football and basketball. He was selected as the 2007-08 Mountain-Valley 2A Conference Offensive Player of the Year in football. In basketball, he was named as the conference tournament's MVP this season. He help to lead his team to a sectional championship and a regional appearance. Daniel will continue his basketball career at Guilford College next year.
