2nd Place Finish at Meet of Champs for April Terry

Sophomore shot putter April Terry saved her best for last this season.  She threw almost two feet past her previous best mark to measure 38' 10" and a second place finish at the Meet of Champs.  The Meet of Champs matches the best athletes from all classifications in their respective events.  All event state champions are automatic qualifiers with five more athletes being invited based on state performances.  Terry's runner-up finish is the highest finish for a Lady Mustang in an individual event in school history and places her on the All-State team.
