Apollo Boys & Girls Track Fair Well at Henderson

The Apollo boys & girls track teams had very solid showings this weekend at the Henderson Colonel Classic.
The boys team finished 4th out of 20 teams and were led by the following athletes.
Dondre Mimms won the 200 meter dash which keeps him undefeated this year in that event.
Ryan Duvall won the 110 hurdles which keeps him undefeated against Kentucky opponents this year in that event. Duvall also finished 4th in the shot put and 6th in the discus.
Also scoring for the Eagles were Bryson Morris in the 400 meter dash (5th), Hunter Collins in the discus (5th), and Mazden Tyler and Seth Boone in the 2 mile run, finishing 4th and 5th respectively.
Both of the Eagle sprint relay teams finished in the top 4.
The 4x100 relay comprised of Jovan Brown, Dondre Mimms, Tristan Patterson, and Brandon Blythe finished 4th.
And the 4x200 relay comprised of Jovan Brown, Dondre Mimms, Bryson Morris, and Josh Brumleve finished 2nd.
The girls team also had a good showing. Having three girls score for the team.
Shelby Lewis won the pole vault for the 2nd meet in a row, vaulting 9 feet 6 inches.
Leslie Burns finished runner up in the 800 meters. And Mackenzie Drury finished 7th in the discus.
