NOTES FROM COACH CONNIE 9-11-12

This week the volleyball teams are at Blaine on Tuesday and home vs Park Center on Thursday.

The freshman bus leaves for Blaine at 3:00 for a 4:15 game time. The B-Squad, JV andVarsity bus leaves at 4:15. B-Squad and JV play at 5:30 and Varsity at 7:00. There is an admission fee for the 5:30 and later matches.

Thursday is Youth Night and we will be asking for parents and players to volunteer. Players will be signing up to help tomorrow at practice to face paint, register youth for door prizes and give out grab bags. The players will also be stuffing grab bags at practice tomorrow and making posters.

We are in need of additional help in the concession stand from 4-5:30 and 8:30-close. Please sign up online at the sign up link.

The booster club met last night and the following are some of the items we currently looking for help with:

Sell those raffle tickets! The letter mentioned Oct. 3 as a turn in date, but the boosters would like to move that date up to Wednesday, Sept. 26. Please try to sell all your tickets as this is a major fundraiser for our program.

The last ticket sweep has been canceled. The girls are expected to go out on their own or in groups to sell tickets when it works for them. If you have sold all your tickets please turn them in!

The freshman tournament is looking for concession workers and people to make bake sale items. Please keep in mind that your daughter must be available to help for a minimum of a 1/2 day on Saturday, Sept. 29. The girls score, line judge and do other misc. items throughout the day to help with the tournament. I will have a schedule out by the end of this week for their duty schedule.

The Gala event is fast approaching...Friday, Oct. 5! This is always a fun night and many of my friends and family have come to look forward to this event! The players will receive 6 tickets to deliver to you. The tickets are for you to sell to family, friends, and neighbors to the silent auction and tasting event, but do not have your daughter sell these tickets. This is an adult only event and the girls are only expected to sell the raffle tickets! I hope you will all attend!

I think this is enough for one e-mail...volleyball bags are in and Player apparel is in and will be distributed this week! We are still taking orders for parent apparel and it will be on sale at home games. We also have more small T-shirts for sale...I know we ran short the first meeting! T-shirts and spandex for practice can be purchased from Connie at school.
