October 11, 2011
By Horace Neysmith of All Metro Sports

ATLANTA,GA - AMS was at the Fifth Annual Pangos All-South Camp this weekend hosted by Dinos Trigonis at Holy Innocence School in Atlanta. The All-South Camp has long been a staple in the fall camp circuit with previous participants including Derrick Favors, Quincy Miller, Kevin Ware, Montay Brandon, Devonte Polard and others.Pangos and last weeks EliteHoopsShowcase are the top fall showcases in the South, getting top end media coverage and players.Watch Top 20 and Top 40 Game Live!

The camp was highlighted by Saturday's performance from 6-foot-4 eight grade combo guard Josh Langford (Madison Academy, AL). In a consensus vote, including McDonald's All-Amercian voter and Editor of Hot100 Hoops - Van Coleman, Langford was selected the top prospect at the camp. Although still in football mode, he dominated off the bounce with creative dribble drives for scores, on the glass as an offensive rebounder, in transition where he found his teammates for easy baskets and defensively geting into the passing lanes for defelctions and steals.

Other top prospects from the camp:

6-foot--2 2014 CG Derrick Brooks (Liberty County HS-Hinesville, GA) - Tough in transition where he utilizes his athleticism to finish above the rim and strentgh to finish in traffic in half court sets Solid ballhandler with good court vision. Rebounded well from his position and used his bouce to block an inordinate amout of shots for a guard. Shoots the ball very well from 18-feet and has a well developed pull-up game.

6-foot-5 2014 WG Andre Chatfield (Parkview HS-Lilburn, GA) - Long wing with solid ball skills and shooting ability from behind the arc. With hs lentgh, he can be one of the top defensive and rebounding guards in the state. Moves well without the ball, allowing him to score without dominating the ball.

6-foot-7 2015 C/PF Noah Dickerson (Lovett School-Atlanta, GA) - Te hard playing banger endeared himself to many on-lookers because of his willingness to consistently battle on the glass. Many young players his size want to float out o the perimeter, Dickerson loves the paint. His 7-foot wingspan allow him to play bigger than his height. Still developing his offensive skills but shows the work ethic to improve in that area once the football season is over.

6-foot-6 2014 WF Stephon Jelks (North Cobb Christian-Kennesaw, GA) - Selected to the top 20 game but unable to play due to injury, Jelks was one of the best shooters at the camp. Utilizes his abilty to shoot to beat his man off the bounce. Surprisingly good passer.

6-foot-2 2014 SG Justice Cuthbertson (Westchester Country Day-High Point, NC) - Can score the ball at all three levels. Dangerous from deep, hitting seven trey's in Saturday's second game. Good body and explosiveness make him tough when he gets in the lane.

6-foot-1 2014 CG Keith Pickney (Pinewood Prep, SC) - Crafty scorer with accomplised mid-range game.

6-foot-0 2014 SG Nate Mason (Columbia HS-Decatur, GA) - Known as a shooter, Mason has really improved at attacking the basket. In the past where he would settle for the deep three, he's now attacking and finishing with contact.

5-foot-11 2015 G D'Angelo Streeter (Liberty County HS-Midway, GA) - Tough, physical guard with good stroke. Gets after it defensivly.

6-foot-8 2015 C Ravion Bell (SW Dekalb HS-Decatur, GA) - Nothing easy comes to the offense when Bell is in the paint. The camps best shot-bocker. Slight build limits his offensive production but he more than makes up for it on the other end.

6-foot-3 2015 WG Jashawn Brooks (North Augusta HS-North Augusta, SC) - Very good spot up shooter with high motor. One of the better defenders at the camp. Effective in transition where he ises his athleticism to finish plays.

6-foot-10 2014 C Liban Hassan (Wilson HS-Dallas, TX) - Very long and raw at this stage but shows good promise. Active around the basket.

5-foot-11 2015 PG Reggie Reid (Harlem HS-Appling, GA) - One of the more athletic guards at the camp, Reid is not afraid to atack the lane. On quite a few occasions he took it right at or over taller players for baskets.

6-foot-6 2015 PF Mekhi Brown (Carver HS-Columbus, GA) - Another player still on the football field, Brown shoots it well to 15-feet, is active on the glass and runs the floor well. His quick jumping ability allow him to be a defensive presence in the paint.

6-foot-5 2014 F Terrance Birdsong (SW Dekalb-Decatur, GA) - High motor offensive player with an improved jumper. Tough on the glass. Good IQ.

6-foot-2 2014 SG Christian Adams (Mount Tabor-NC) - Lefty has good stroke and feel for the game. Finishes well in transition.

5-foot-11 2014 SG Patrick Lamar (Blessed Trinity-Roswell, GA) - Consistent threat from deep. Understands how to use the threat of the deep ball to his mid-range areas.

6-foot-5 2014 F Isaiah Wilkins (Greater Atlanta Christian-Norcross, GA) - Wilkins was very attive on the boards all weekend. He shoots it well from 17-feet and was very effective in high-low sets. His long arms and motor allow him to be a defensive presence in the paint.

6-foot-0 2014 PG Xavier Jackson (Centennial HS-Roswell, GA) - Very fast with the basketball. Has the first step and handles to beat his man but has a tendency to over dribble. Effective passer and good defender.

6-foot-8 2014 C/PF Kerwin Smith (Wilson-Dallas, TX) - Another raw big with good upside. Most of his offense comes from hitting the offensive boards although he does show the occaional 15-footer. Active on the glass.

6-foot-2 2015 WG Ronshad lAllen Shabazz (Knightdale, Raleigh, NC) - Slashing wing with mid-range game. Runs the flor well. With his lentgh and energy he can be a lock down defender.

6-foot-5 2014 F Joshua Ledbetter (Holy Innocence-Atlanta, GA) - Very bouncy forward. Has a nice jump hook as his primary scoring move. Good offensive rebounder.

6-foot-4 2015 F Marc Fowler (Faith Baptist (Hinesville, GA) - Under sized forward with good hands and finsihing ability.
