American Heart Association Fundraiser

March 31, 2012
By Paris Chrisman of Alcoa High School

The Alcoa High School HOSA Chapter hosted a Student/Teacher basketball game. All of the proceeds from ticket sales went to benefit the American Heart Association. The Alcoa HOSA Club raised at least $200 for the associaton.

The American Heart Association primarily focuses on heart diseases because heart disease is the number one killer in the United States.

By providing the money to the American Heart Association, they will be able to provide more research on how to benefit the American people who have a heart disease.
