NC State

Parking Information

Please note that visitors to campus for events must follow all posted parking regulations. Be sure to educate your group on the appropriate steps to take to avoid parking violations and associated fees.

The parking surrounding Carmichael Complex is classified as “C” and “RE”.  “RE” parking is enforced until midnight, Monday through Friday.  “C” parking is enforced from 7 am to 5 pm., Monday through Friday. Parking in these spots may result in ticket.  Visitors are encouraged to use the Coliseum Deck pay lot for parking.  Accessible parking is available adjacent to the Aquatic Center at the entrance level.

Coliseum Deck Pay Lot Hours

Open 24 hours per day/7 days a week

Parking Decks ONLY accept credit card payment - Master Card, Visa, Discover and
American Express - NO CASH.

The Pay Lot is located on Cates Avenue, ground level parking under the deck.  Pay lot rates are $2.00 for each hour with $10.00 being the daily maximum.

Cates Avenue

Do not block Cates Avenue at any time.  This is our busiest street on campus and our students rely on the buses to be on time.

Bus Parking

If you know that participants or spectators of your event will be riding a bus, you must inform University Recreation.  Buses may park in the Coliseum Parking Surface Lot.  The second lot for buses is the Varsity Lot in front of the Joyner Visitor Center along Western Boulevard.  Buses parked in any other spot may result in a ticket.

Respect Our Campus

Any lewd or unsavory behavior towards our students, staff or faculty will not be tolerated.  If you do not comply with requests from official University representatives and are disrespectful, the proper authorities will be called.

Larger Events

The larger events will need to meet with both University Recreation and Transportation to discuss parking procedures on NC State University campus.
