Home » General NewsVolleyball Cruises to 10-3 RecordOctober 4, 2011 By Duane Herr of ANNE ARUNDEL COMMUNITY COLLEGEWith wins over Delaware Tech., Terry and Garrett College AACC’s Women’s Volleyball team is now 10-3 overall and 6-2 in MD JUCO. They now find themselves in fourth in the MD JUCO standings with six matches left in the season. On September 28th the Pioneers hosted Del Tech from the Terry Campus. AACC won in straight sets by scores of 25-17, 25-12 and 25-21. Just two days later on September 29th the Pioneers played host to MD JUCO member Garrett College from McHenry, MD. Again it was the Pioneers in straight sets winning 25-11, 25-18 and 25-4. In the upcoming weeks AACC has their work cut out for them with difficult conference match ups. On Tuesday, October 4th the Pioneers travel to Cumberland, MD to play Allegany College of Maryland. Allegany is 8-6 overall and 7-2 in MD JUCO, currently holding the number three spot in the conference. After a week off the Pioneers will then host College of Southern Maryland (5-8, 4-2) on Tuesday October 11th. CSM is currently fifth in MD JUCO standings.
