The loss makes the Pioneers record 9-10 with seven games remaining in the regular season. Kevin Eaglin, who remains the third leading scorer in MD JUCO at 19 points a game, led the Pioneers in scoring against Chesapeake with 17 points. Eaglin also added 5 assists and 2 rebounds. Josh Gerber scored 10 points with 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals. Eric Smith added 8 points and 2 rebounds. Jarvez Pierce and Erin Senegal each scored 7 points, grabbed 2 rebounds, and had 3 assists. Current MD JUCO rebound leader Malcolm Freeman (12.688/game) pulled down 11 rebounds with 6 points, one assist and a steal. Taquan Colbert added 5 points, an assist, a steal, and one rebound. The road trips don’t end for the Pioneer Men’s Basketball team as they travel to Prince George’s Community College on Friday, January 20th for a 7:30pm tip-off. PG is currently 12-6 overall winning six out of ten of their JUCO match ups. The Pioneers finally return home to Jenkins Gym on January 25th for a 7pm tip-off against Montgomery College – Germantown.
