Cards jump on Vikings early for win

Princeton's offense managed two hits against Colerain pitching in a 8-1 loss on Friday, May 9 at Gower Park. in Sharonville, Ohio.

Colerain scored 5 runs on 3 hits against Vikings' starter Aaron Smith, who got the nod on the senior night.

Christopher Taylor came in relief of Smith, and tossed 4.1 innings of 2 run baseball. Taylor scattered two hits and struck out 6 batters in a strong outing for the Vikings.

On the season, Taylor holds a 3.73 ERA with 28 strikeouts over 20.2 innings.

Adam Wagers led the offense with a double down the left field line which plated Morgan Griffen.

Jalen Mitchell collected the other base hit.

Princeton begins its tournament run at Western Hills High School on Tuesday, May 13. First pitch between the Mustangs and Vikings is at 5:00pm.
