The Aviators and Vikings needed extra innings to decide the outcome in a classic pitching dual on Monday, May 5 at Gower Park.

Junior pitcher Christopher Taylor allowed 1 run (0 earned) and scattered 3 hits in 4.1 innings of work. Taylor struck out 6 batters, and escaped a bases loaded jam twice on the afternoon.

Adam Wagers collected a pair of hits and reached base three times to lead the Vikings' offense. Tanner McGladrie drove in Jalen Mitchell for Princeton's lone run.

Brett Bosel, McGladrie, and Jalen Mitchell each had two hits.

Princeton was unable to respond in the bottom half inning after Sycamore scored 3 unearned runs off relief pitcher Joey Krause.

Krause tossed 4.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 4 hits.

Defensively, the Vikings committed 6 errors in the field.

Princeton travels to Colerain on Wednesday, May 7 for a 5:00pm start time.
