Vikings clobber 11 hits in 12-9 win

The Princeton Vikings baseball team belted a season-high 11 hits in a 12-9 home win against Landmark on Saturday, April 26 at Gower Park. The Vikings improve to 4-13 on the season.
Senior Jalen Mitchell led the Vikings' offense by knocking in two runs, scored three times, and had three of the team's six stolen bases. Mitchell owns a .413 on base percentage and a team-high 8 stolen bases.
Chappell Kelly improves his batting average by collecting three hits and scoring two runs.
Joey Krause, Adam Wagers, and Christopher Taylor each drove in two runs in the win.
On the mound, Joey Krause allowed three runs on four hits over three innings of work. James Boyle pitched up the win in relief, striking out two batters and allowing just one base hit in two innings of work.
The pitching staff allowed one extra base hit and struck out five batters.
Princeton returns to the diamond on Monday, April 28 against Mason at Gower Park. First pitch is set for 5:00pm.
