Carpenter drives in two runs against Middies

Brianna Carpenter belted two doubles and knocked in two of the three runs in the 14-3 home loss to the Middletown Middies on Wednesday, April 23 at Princeton High School.

Carpenter had three of the team's five hits against a tough Middies' pitcher. She bumps her team-lead batting average to .286 on the season.

The Middies scored 11 unearned runs in the ball game to knotch the win.

Despite a strong pitching performance from Nicole Lohmueller, she was tagged with the loss. Lohmueller allowed 2 earned runs on 5 base hits, and struck out 4 batters in 3.2 innings of work.

Lamayah Lattimore hit a double in the gap and Brandi Stepp laced a shot for her third rbi on the season.

Haley Osborne used her quickness to pick up her first stolen base on the year.

Princeton returns to the ball field on Thursday, April 24 against the Sycamore Aviators at 4:30pm at Princeton High School.
