Princeton continues strong play

The Princeton girls' basketball team picked up a pair of wins against Winton Woods and Hamilton to improve their regular season record to 15-2, and 9-0 within the Greater Miami Conference.

In the Lady Vikes' 68-53 win over the Winton Woods Warriors, Kelsey Mitchell scored 28 points and Princeton outscored the Warriors 44-28 in the second half. Carlie Pogue finished with 15 points and 8 rebounds. She also had 3 big blocked shots late in the second half against Winton Woods' superstar, Imani Partlow.

Princeton scored 33 third quarter points in the 89-57 road win against Hamilton on Saturday, January 25. Kelsey Mitchell led all scorers with 33 points from 11 of 22 from the field. Carlie Pogue finished with 16 points and 9 rebounds, and Corneisha Henderson added 12 points.

The Lady Vikings' bench scored 20 points in the win. Markayla Sherman and Quierra Drake scored 9 and 6 points respectively.

Princeton travels to Fairfield on Wednesday, January 29.
