Boys Swimming victorious on Senior Night

The Princeton swim program defeated Glen Este by a combined score of 228-40 on Monday, January 13 at Princeton High School. Fueled by excitement from senior recognition before the meet, the Vikings placed first in each event throughout the meet.

The boys’ swam away with a 112-14 victory.

Senior Ryan Adams finished first place in the 200-Yard Individual Medley in 2:36, and second place in the 100-Yard Breaststroke in 1:17.

Senior Jake Mazzone took first place in the 100-Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:16, and finished in second place in the 100-Yard Butterfly in 1:09.

Also earning a first place individual event was senior DJ Svensson in the 100-Yard Freestyle, with a time of 57.84. Svensson also came in second place in the 50-Yard Freestyle.

Senior Dustin Dykes took first place in the 100-Yard Butterfly, and third place in the 100-Yard Backstroke.

Other notable top finishers for the Vikings were Trenton Walker (200-Yard Freestyle & 500 Yard Freestyle), and Riley Hinkley (50-Yard Freestyle & 100-Yard Backstroke).

Princeton’s 200-Yard Medley Relay (Hinkley, Mazzone, Dykes, and Svensson), 200-Yard Freestyle Relay (Dykes, Adams, Roblin, Walker), and the 400-Yard Freestyle Relay (Walker, Svensson, Hinkley, and Mazzone), each took first place.
